Prerequisites
- Page Visit Counter Analytics Pro must be installed and activated.
- A valid Pro license key must be configured.
How to Access
- Go to your WordPress admin dashboard.
- Navigate to Analytics > Goals from the left sidebar menu.
- Create new goals, view completion reports, and manage existing goals.
How It Works
You define conversion goals by specifying URL patterns that represent a successful action (e.g., a thank-you page after form submission, a checkout completion page, or a specific landing page visit). When a visitor’s pageview matches the goal URL pattern, a conversion is recorded.
Each goal tracks total conversion counts, can have a deadline for time-sensitive campaigns, and supports email notifications when milestones are reached. Goal conversions are also linked to UTM campaign data, allowing you to see which campaigns drive the most conversions.
Benefits
- Track meaningful business outcomes, not just pageviews.
- Define goals with flexible URL pattern matching.
- Set deadlines for time-sensitive campaign goals.
- Receive email notifications when goals are completed.
- Attribute conversions to specific marketing campaigns via UTM tracking.
- Export goal data for external reporting and analysis.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I create a conversion goal?
Go to Analytics > Goals, click to create a new goal, and specify the URL pattern that represents a successful conversion (e.g., /thank-you/). You can optionally set a deadline and enable email notifications.
Can I track form submissions as goals?
Yes. If your form redirects to a thank-you page after submission, set that page’s URL as a goal pattern. The plugin will track each visit to that page as a conversion.
Are goal conversions linked to UTM campaigns?
Yes. When a visitor arrives via a UTM-tagged URL and later completes a goal, the conversion is attributed to that campaign in the reports.
