Feature Details

Category Traffic Reports
Type Post Analytics
Plan Free
Configurable Settings Yes (date range filtering)

Prerequisites

  • Page Visit Counter Analytics plugin must be installed and activated.
  • Your site must have published posts with tracked pageview data.

How to Access

  1. Go to your WordPress admin dashboard.
  2. Navigate to Analytics > Top Posts from the left sidebar menu.
  3. View your most visited posts sorted by view count.

How It Works

The Top Posts report queries all pageview records and matches them against published WordPress posts (post_type: post). Posts are ranked by total view count, showing post titles, URLs, and view counts. Date range filtering lets you analyze performance over specific time periods.

Only published posts are included in the report. Draft, private, or trashed posts are excluded from the analytics.

Benefits

  • Quickly identify your most popular blog content.
  • Understand which topics resonate most with your audience.
  • Use insights to plan future content strategy.
  • Filter by date range to spot trending posts.
  • No external analytics tool needed for basic content performance tracking.
